Kellyann Zuzulo is an author and an editor. She writes romantic suspense and thrillers and, occasionally, shopping lists, but doesn’t need an outline for those. As an editor, she works for SDP Publishing Solutions to help authors polish their books to bestseller quality. She writes a bi-monthly column called “Forever Young” for BTS eMagazine. No, this is not a product review of moisturizers, but rather an insiders’ look at the Young Adult literary market.
Kellyann is represented by Word|Link Literary Agency, who are hard at work linking her novel, Gnaw, with eager New York publishers. Meanwhile, her novel, THE GENIE IGNITES, released by Boroughs Publishing Group in March 2012, was a finalist in the 2013 Abalone Awards for “Outstanding Ethno-Cultural Romance.” Her most recent releases are the 101 Nights “Romantisodes” for Boroughs, a five-book installment about Amani Zarin, a 21st-century jinni who has to save her homeland and navigate both the intrigue of suburban New Jersey and a shopping cart: To Have and To Hold; Reluctant Rapture; The Ties That Bind. Dangerous Devotion will release in August 2014, followed by Ever Afters in October.
A Philadelphia native, Kellyann received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Temple University and has lived in London, Ireland, Boston and Washington, D.C. She has worked as a reporter for local newspapers and as a writer for Yankee Magazine and national consumer and health magazines; as a book development editor; as a media relations representative; and as a director of communications for nonprofits. Her interest in Middle Eastern myth and legend stems from her stint as a Managing Editor of Publications for the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington, D.C.
