Angels & Genies is the title of my new paranormal novella that will be released by All Romance eBooks in February. The book was selected as part of ARe’s ‘28 Days of Heart Campaign.’ In preparation, I have created a banner with the really handy-dandy functions over at mybannermaker.com. Good thing, too, because I’m a writer and not a graphic artist. However, this points up some of the things today’s writer really has to be responsible for. Look at your own calendar: When do you have releases? What can you do to prepare and find readers? What sites can make such marketing easier for you?

Be still my beating heart … Angels & Genies, my newest novella, was selected by All Romance eBooks to be a part of their 28 Days of Heart Campaign in February 2010. Each day of the month of love, a new novella will be released at All Romance as part of a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. The 28 novellas will then be bundled into four anthologies. Hearty congrats to all the authors because the forewords are to be written by Charlaine Harris, NYT bestselling author of such books as the Sookie Stackhouse series and creator of True Blood.

As you’ve probably figured out by now, I focus on the fictional world of the jinn in my books. My series for Sapphire Blue Publishing started with The Third Wish and soon will be followed by the sequel, The Genie’s Curse. Both novellas follow the misty, captivating trail of jinni Ashura-Goreem — Ash to his friends — cursed 3,000 years ago in a bitter rivalry between human and jinn.

Well, it’s set in contemporary time on the rugged Atlantic coast of South Carolina. Jinn were traditionally the builders of great monuments in primeval days. Luckily the aesthetic has changed, and Match builds a quite nice Craftsman-style home. Angeline Delaire is a realtor who wants to walk through that doorway.
